![]() ![]() ![]() While the computer of choice for many students is trending toward Macbooks, before you head out to get a computer for your student, some of the colleges have specific requirements that differ from general recommendations. A Knight Email account is required. As a UCF student, not only do you receive technical assistance with connectivity and other authentication issues, but students may receive 60-80% savings in student licenses for special software they may need including Adobe Create Cloud Suite. You’ll undoubtedly need to use Word, Excel, and Powerpoint throughout your four years, so this is a steal. Read it in advance so your student has no downtime. If you are having trouble accessing the required materials posted by your instructors, check to make sure you have signed in with your UCR account. In order to access these tools and materials, you will need to sign in using your UCR NetID and password. NOTE: Your instructors will likely be using those tools to share videos and other course content. Once you are signed in, you can use all of the tools below (and more).
